You have probably had something delivered recently. There’s a good chance that it was food. Especially in the last several years, food delivery services have skyrocketed all over the world. There’s a very good chance that Delivery Hero handled that food delivery.
While based in Germany, Delivery Hero operates in over 70 countries on four continents. Their ecosystem of restaurant partners numbers in the hundreds of thousands, and they serve over two billion customers. One in four people on the planet, that’s a lot of noodles.
Delivery Hero’s digital ecosystem is extensive, and they have a lot of web and app properties processing personal data. Given they have to comply with data privacy regulations in many regions around the world, their privacy compliance requirements are complex. The company’s goals, however, are clear: “As a large global ecosystem of riders, restaurants, shops, partners and customers, we want to gain trust and provide a secure experience on our websites and apps,” noted Delivery Hero’s Group Data Protection Officer, Benedikt Schweinfurth.
The high-quality data they collect is valuable, but consent is what truly helps unlock its value to the business. Delivery Hero currently uses the Usercentrics CMP on web and app properties (iOS and Android) in 10 countries.
Usercentrics was recommended to Delivery Hero by another customer, and it was a proof point that Usercentrics could handle extensive multi-platform architecture. Upon implementation, they appreciated the user-friendliness of the Admin Interface and the CMP’s full customizability.
The collaboration between Delivery Hero and Usercentrics has also been positive, with assistance ranging from getting answers to technical questions to analyzing KPIs together.
