What is GDPR?
The GDPR is the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, which was implemented on May 25, 2018. The GDPR framework contains 99 Articles regulating the use and processing of personal data, as well as responsibilities for safeguarding that data. It has been influential on other countries’ privacy laws, like Brazil’s LGPD.
Each EU member country has its own supervisory authority, which handles enforcement.
